Your Tuesday Tome

 

Perhaps you will agree with me, and perhaps you will not, but I find literature to be a fascinating art form, regardless of whether you’re emotionally invested in a top-of-the-pops modern bestseller or delving deeply into a canonical cultural monolith.

My background is primarily in literary studies, and I read everything that interests me, from Fight Club to Flaubert. For anyone curious, my theoretical biases often align with the New Historicists and other Critical Theorists—and my own research concerns intersections among philosophy, science, and literature.

This series will contain my thoughts on works of literature, and may range from simple recommendations or criticisms to full analyses. I intend to keep reading and learning as long as I can, and I hope you will join me.
